The Kit of On-board Transport Equipment

 

For the diagram of on-board vehicular complex (terminal), which is a part of system we consider see Fig. 3. The key element of vehicular terminal is intellectual controller, which comprises input-output processor, special processor and modem. The receiver of GPS-signal with antenna complex allows providing of continuity of monitoring system operation in urban conditions. The receiver can generate such data about transportation facility as latitude, longitude, height, speed, conventional number of facility and system time at least 1 time per second. Due to exact time counting, which is available to all transport facilities, different strategies of message receipt can be applied: either basing on the request, or by fixed schedule, etc. GSM module performs the functions of data reception/transmission within GSM radionetwork coverage.

Operation modes of on-board equipment of CTNet system:

ACCIDENT (automatic and manual mode) - the message is sent to Control Center immediately, which defines the location of transport facility precisely and calls ambulance, emergency vehicle or other accordant response services.

ALARM (automatic and manual mode) - the message is sent to Control Center immediately, which defines the location of transport facility precisely and tracks it in movements. In this mode remote control of vehicle systems are possible (blocking, imitation of the failures, etc.)

CALL OF SERVICE (manual mode) - request on service technical centers assistance through Control Center, which defines the location of transport facility precisely and sends assistance from the nearest place to the customer.

AMBULANCE CALL (manual mode) - call of ambulance through Control Center which defines the location of transport facility precisely and sends ambulance from the nearest place to the customer.

ON-BOARD NAVIGATION (manual mode)

The access is provided to the information on traffic direction to a certain places, warnings on traffic overload and other information. All the data may be received by customer, including function "I am lost", when Control Center which defines the location of the lost driver precisely and gives the instructions as to the direction to required places.

DOCUMENTING (automatic and manual mode)

Documenting of the information on the traffic route and technological parameters of the mobile asset with further decryption in the control center upon arrival is provided.

VOICE COMMUNICATION channel is organized within system by Customer or by separate order with rendering him this service. Customer defines the subscriber equipment for voice communication.

End-users service control functions

Service functions are offered to mobile terminal user is he has a cellular mobile telephone of the given GSM network. These service functions allow remote controlling of mobile terminal's separate operation modes:

  • mobile asset arming/disarming;
  • switching on/switching off;
  • operation/programming;
  • automatic call of different response services;
  • to activate telesignalization outputs (for example blocking, failure simulation, etc.) via entry of programmed code messages (DTMF).

Notice: Of the mobile terminals with marking /DR are applied new receiver which improves GPS performance significantly by adding Dead-Reckoning (DR) to GPS receiver. Using Gyro sensor along with odometer, it corrects positioning reports received form GPS satellites with vector value. This even works under poor GPS signal conditions such as in tunnel, urban canyon and mountain valley.
