The calculation of exact vehicle location is one of the tasks, solved by system. The information on coordinates and vehicle status must be transmitted quickly to dispatcher center. The effectiveness of transmission is defined by two elements: microprocessor modem specially created for operation in GSM/ORBCOMM Network and intellectual controller. One of main advantages of microprocessor on-board application - the possibility of realization of effective communication session protocol. The algorithm of "multichannel" mode of communication sessions by line OBJECT - CONROL CENTER was realized. This algorithm allows effective accompaniment of ample quantity of transport facilities, which transmit messages every second in emergency or on request. The controller performs all necessary functions to control transport facilities within the system, not requiring any interference of the operator or driver, and this in its turn allows location of the transport facility equipment as inaccessible "black box". It is necessary to notice that controller performs a number of rather critical functions for the operation of all system of functions. Thus, it controls data transmission channels, processing of inputs and outputs of telesignalization. These channels are used for control parameters transmission of transport facility: battery status, the estimate of ignition system's regularity, power supply for lighting facilities, siren, doors and hatches position, opening of the container, etc.
Integrated microprocessor modem is included into mobile terminal, which is a specialized device designed for provision of reliable data communication via GSM/ORBCOMM Network. It is well known that the main function of the modem is transformation of information data into signals, convenient for data transmission via Radio channel. In order to provide reliable data transmission, the system uses special protocol with error corrections. Such approach decreases the influence of effects related to Radio signal attenuation, and also eliminates the passage of corrupted information to dispatcher center.
The on-board microprocessor is programmed to perform some key support functions. Controller provides automatic transmission/reception of standard messages for operation in GSM/ORBCOMM Network. Type of status and messages are programmed in conformity with a certain official instructions of services, which prescribe a certain reports and variant of actions in different situations.
